GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Account Manager/CSR provides day-to-day support to our clients and administrative and technical support to the producer. The AE and Producer work as a team to ensure that the client received the very best technical and administrative service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist AE’s, Producers and policyholders with coverage changes, service requests, and questions regarding policies
- Provide technical support to the Producers for the benefit of clients and to reach strategic agency business objectives
- Approve endorsement and policy change requests requested by Account Coordinator.
- Review and assist in renewal application completion and marketing with insurance carriers. Determine appropriate carriers in conjunction with the Producer and the marketing department
- Follow up to ensure timely receipt of policies or quotations
- Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for policyholders and producers as needed
- Review and analyze policy checklist and coordinate any changes to correct errors and ensure changes are processed
- Correspond with companies, clients and others to communicate information, facilitate changes on behalf of clients, and to service accounts
- Prepare client invoices, arrange premium financing if necessary, and review any client statements prior to mailing
- Review accounts receivable to assist in collecting money owed to CB Insurance.
- Advise Producer of company or agency intent to non-renew. Document files to reduce potential for errors and omissions and assist Producer in re-marketing the non-renewed account if appropriate
- Keep abreast of industry information, new product information, coverage and technology in an effort to continuously improve knowledge and stay up to date
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma and college education or equivalent insurance education; i.e. CIC, CISR, etc.
- Property/ Casualty License Required
- Knowledge of insurance products and coverage
- Knowledge of rating procedures, coverage, and industry operations to effectively manage and maintain business
- Ability to carry out complex tasking with many concrete and abstract variables
- Demonstrate oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate various computer programs
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and do simple calculations involving decimals and fractions with accuracy
- Ability to understand basic accounting functions to assist with accounts receivable for individual clients
- Ability to process written materials visually
- Work is sedentary
